Who we are

Lester is a shoe store located at Vallgatan 14 in central Gothenburg. We have been in this neighbourhood since Lester was founded in 2001 by us, the brothers Johan and Anders Håman. We have always had a passion for well-crafted shoes, and that passion has been in our blood for generations.

Our history

Our grandfather, Gunnar Håman, was a skilled shoe- and violinmaker in Kålltorp, Gothenburg. He worked with precision and care, always using the finest materials. His approach to craftsmanship has inspired us throughout our lives, and when we founded Lester, we wanted to carry on that tradition - to offer shoes that are not only stylish but also built to last.

Fiddler Shoes

It also laid the foundation for our own shoe brand, Fiddler Shoes. Fiddler is about tradition and quality. Our shoes are crafted according to classic shoemaking principles, with handmade details and Goodyear-welted constructions to ensure they last - just as our grandfather Gunnar would have wanted.
