A true Red Wing icon. First introduced in 1936 and originally worn by railroad workers, the Engineer boot soon became a favorite among motorcycle riders in the 1950s. The 2966 brings that heritage back to life, staying true to the originals from the ’50s and ’60s.
Crafted in premium Black Klondike leather with “tea-core” tanning, the boots develop a rich and individual patina as the black finish wears to reveal warm brown tones beneath. The flat toe box, oil-resistant Neoprene Cord sole, and slightly slanted stacked heel with contrast detail give the 2966 its unmistakable character. A vintage-inspired label and embossed Red Wing logo add the finishing touches.
Goodyear welt construction ensures durability, while the standard D-width last offers a comfortable fit.
