First introduced in 1958, the Red Wing Shoes Chukka 9196 was developed as a higher-cut evolution of the original Postman shoe. Known as the ‘Policeman’ at launch, it was created for uniformed professionals who demanded durability, comfort, and a clean, professional appearance. Crafted from black Chaparral leather sourced from Red Wing’s own SB Foot Tannery, the shoe features a leather-lined interior, a leather insole, and a hard-wearing rubber outsole. Built using traditional Goodyear welt construction on a standard-width D last. Made in Red Wing, Minnesota, USA.
